13 · CLOUD SYNC

Your Library, On Every Machine

Cloud sync keeps your projects and programs identical between the machines you make music on. Build a kit on the studio desktop, open the laptop on the train, click Sync Now — it's all there. 5 GB of storage is included with every license and active trial.

How It Works

Click Sync Now in Options > Preferences > Cloud Sync. DMC60 compares your local projects and programs with what's stored for your license and transfers only the differences — new and changed files upload, files added on your other machine download. Your activation is the key: there are no extra accounts or passwords, and syncing is entirely manual. Nothing ever uploads unless you click.

Two Machines, One Library

Sync is additive and careful by design. Deleting a file on one machine never deletes it in the cloud or on your other machine — the only way to remove cloud data is the explicit Delete Cloud Data button. And if the same project changed on both machines between syncs, DMC60 keeps both: your local version stays put and the other machine's version appears beside it with "(conflict)" in the name, so nothing is ever silently overwritten.

Where files landFavorites first

Files arriving from the cloud are placed in your Favorite Locations folder for that category when one is set, otherwise in Documents/DMC60. Each machine can organize its disk differently; the library still matches.

DAW projectsSave a .dmcproj

A beat living only inside a DAW session can't sync. Use File > Save in DMC60 to write a .dmcproj into your synced folder and it travels with you.

Your Data, Your Call

The Delete Cloud Data button in the same preferences card permanently removes everything DMC60 stores for you server-side, after a confirmation. It works even after a trial has expired. Local files are never touched. If your trial ends without a purchase, synced data is kept dormant for 60 days — buy within the window and your library is waiting — then deleted automatically.
