Not Just Samples — Synth Voices

Any pad can switch from a sample to a full subtractive synth voice: three morphing oscillators, two SSM2044 ladder filters, and a 16-slot modulation matrix — running through the same 12-bit engine as the rest of the kit.

Sample or Oscillator

Every pad has a voice type. Leave it on Sample to play audio as usual, or flip it to Osc in the inline sample editor to turn that pad into a synth. Synth voices share the pad's pitch, ADSR, pan, and drive — and respond to the sequencer, MIDI, and the on-screen keyboard exactly like samples do.

Two synth modes share the Osc voice type. A simple per-pad oscillator gives you one classic shape for tonal one-shots and bass, while the full keygroup synth opens the complete Moog-style engine below.

Oscillators

Three oscillators feed the filters. The waveform isn't a stepped switch — it's a continuous morph that crossfades between sine, triangle, saw, and square. Snap buttons jump to the exact anchors, or land anywhere in between.

Dual Ladder Filters

Two SSM2044-style ladder filters — the same circuit family the sampler uses — run in series or in parallel. A shared filter envelope sweeps both cutoffs.

Resonance0.0–1.0 (1.0 ≈ self-oscillation)
Slope2-pole (12 dB) or 4-pole (24 dB) per filter

Modulation

Beyond the amp and filter envelopes, the synth carries a full modulation section: three LFOs, two assignable envelopes, and a 16-slot matrix that wires any source to any destination.

LFOs3 independent

0.05–20 Hz · sine, triangle, square, S&H, saw · retrig + uni/bipolar

Mod Envelopes2 assignable

Extra ADSR envelopes free to route anywhere in the matrix

16-SLOT MODULATION MATRIX

Each slot routes one source to one destination with a bipolar amount (−1 to +1).

Amp & Voices

A dedicated amplitude envelope shapes each note, and the keygroup sets its own polyphony independent of the global 8-voice engine.

Factory Presets

A starter bank of factory patches loads straight into a keygroup — organized by category in the preset selector, ready to play or to use as a starting point.

12-BIT THROUGHOUT

In Vintage mode the oscillators are naive (non-band-limited) and quantized to 12 bits — the aliasing and grit are the point, the same character the audio engine gives samples. Switch to Clean for PolyBLEP anti-aliased oscillators when you want pristine pads and leads instead.
